    Update Your Company Profile

    • PDF

    Article summary

Your Company Profile is where you can customize your Red Canary experience and tell us how we can best serve your team. You can edit your profile at any time as your organization, security products, or processes change.

You must be an administrator or the technical contact to perform most of these tasks. Other users can only view your company profile.

The Company Profile section allows you to customize Red Canary to your organization. These fields affect various parts of your Red Canary experience, including:

    • Your logo, inferred from your Primary web domain, is used in the activity timeline and several reports.

    • Your Primary industry is used when determining which organizations are similar to yours for the How do we compare to other organizations? report.

    Update your company profile

    1. Click your user icon at the top right of your Red Canary, and then click Company Profile.

    2. Edit any of the profile fields.

    3. Click Save changes.

    Record your security protocols

The My security protocols section is how you share important information that Red Canary will use in the rare case that you’re affected by a critical incident.

    1. Click your user icon at the top right of your Red Canary, and then click Company Profile.

    2. Below My security protocols, update the answers to each question.

    3. Click Save changes.

    Record your network

The My network section is where you list internal IP addresses. Filling out the list of important IP addresses that you manage will enable Red Canary to provide more accurate alerts. These IPs can be internal private IPs, static public IPs, remote office IP ranges, or other important networks.

    1. Click your user icon at the top right of your Red Canary, and then click Company Profile.

    2. Below My network, enter the newline separated IPv4/IPv6 CIDR blocks of IP addresses that your organization manages and would consider “internal IP addresses”.

    3. Click Save changes.

    Describe your security stack

The My security stack section is how you list the security products your team uses. This information guides your Red Canary threat hunter in updating your preventative controls in response to threats confirmed by Red Canary. Additionally, you can add new products to your security stack.

    1. Click your user icon at the top right of your Red Canary, and then click Company Profile.

    2. Below My security stack, begin typing the name of a security product.

    3. Press Enter to add the product to your security stack.

Some security products are used for more than one purpose and will appear in multiple categories. If you use the product for more than one purpose, you can add it multiple times for each categorized use.
